IT Career Certificate Programs

In today’s technological world business small and large and in fields ranging from healthcare to military science rely on computers. With this increasing dependence on computers and technology comes a growing demand for information technology (IT) professionals who are able to install, troubleshoot, and repair computers and their networks. This means that employment of IT professionals is expected to grow in coming years.


Growth Potential: According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment of IT professionals is projected to grow 12% from 2014 to 2024. This is faster than the average for all occupations and is expected to account for 488,500 new jobs in the U.S. by 2024. The BLS also states that the average income for computer and information technology occupations was $82,860, which is higher than the median annual wage for all occupations.
