If you are considering a career in information technology, then the first step you should take is to obtain a degree in computers from an IT college. Students who complete Asher College’s Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer and Network Technology have the hardware technician training necessary to gain entry-level IT management positions, such as managing the IT assistance team for a consumer electronics corporation. We prepare our students through hands-on labs and classroom training with assistance from dedicated, experienced instructors who have the know-how to get you on the right track. Computer and Network Technology graduates have the knowledge to choose and install the right personal computing hardware for clients, as well as set up and configure networks and install Windows operating systems, among other things. Students will be given a solid foundation in selecting, installing, and configuring basic personal computing hardware and installing various Windows operating systems, installing basic productivity applications (such as Microsoft Office), setting up simple wired and wireless networks, creating and managing active directory domain, and will gain experience in working with virtualized systems.
