Computer Specialist & Network Technician Program
Microsoft: MCTS / Certifications: 5 certifications
Modern society has moved from traditional economy to technological one. Now, many tasks are directly or indirectly linked to computer systems, which in turn creates a demand for computer specialists, who are experts in hardware- and software-related computer technology. Our Computer Specialist and Network Technology program teaches the ins and outs of working with computers, and opens the door to careers working with Windows and Linux operating systems, giving graduates a broader field to choose from when searching for a position.
You don’t need extensive technical experience to pursue an exciting career in Information Technology (IT). If you’re analytical, enjoy problem-solving and new technology, and you’re looking to get established in a challenging new career, training as MCTS Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist could be a good option for you.
This program has 2 elective tracks. One focuses on Linux Operating Systems and the second on Cisco Networking.
Elective Track 1 builds keyboarding skills and teaches the basics of VMWare, Cloud computing with Microsoft
Office 365 and the Linux operating system that can result in the Linux + Certificate from CompTIA and the LPIC 1 from the Linux Professional Institute.
Elective Track 2 adds additional networking skills with learning how to Interconnect Cisco Networking Devices and Cisco Routing and Switching. These 2 courses can result in the Cisco Certified Entry Level Network Technician (CCENT) and the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications. See the two career track options in tabs below.
