Tech Support Specialist
Tech Support Specialists are needed to help maintain the efficiency offices as they depend on computers and networks to function. Typically, Tech Support Specialists are responsible for installing software, testing software compatibility with what is currently being used, recommending changes, maintaining system compatibility, training users, and installing hardware. They may also troubleshoot computer or network issues and answer questions posed by users.

WHAT TO EXPECT:Our Tech Support Specialist program provides the skills necessary to become employable as an entry level Network Administrator or Information System Technician. Students enrolled in this program will learn how to network computers, tablets, and printers, and the essentials of operational and organizational security and cryptography. They will also gain knowledge of system architecture, installation and package management, Linux filesystems, and filesystem hierarchy standards. Students will have the ability to test for three CompTIA certifications and one Microsoft certification.
