Becoming an IT Server Administrator
When you train as an IT Server Administrator, you’ll gain the fundamental skills needed to pursue your new IT career. Upon graduation, you’ll enter the professional world with hands-on training in the following 3 core areas:
1. Microsoft Server Basics, Administration, and Design
Progress through the Microsoft Windows Server certification pipeline and get the skills to configure, repair, and administer Windows Server 2012 deployments. You’ll have the chance to gain certifications as you advance, and you’ll also learn how to design your own Windows Server 2012 network infrastructures.
2. PC and Network Security
Learn the essentials of network and cybersecurity. You’ll get trained in the essential principles for network security and risk management. You’ll also be able to perform network threat analysis, configure network systems to secure applications, and understand the policies and regulations around network security.
3. Linux Operating System
Linux is one of the world’s most popular operating systems for IT infrastructure. You’ll get trained on the fundamentals of the Linux OS, including how to use the Linux command line and perform basic maintenance. You’ll also get the skills to install and configure workstations in addition to setting up networking within the OS.

Get Certified and Start Applying for Your New Career as You Train
Take courses you know will lead to industry-recognized certifications. Asher College offers you training in courses that give you the chance to get certified by the likes of CompTIA and Microsoft.

**Pre-Requisites: Due to employer demands this program has a pre-requisite of the CompTIA A+ and Network+ or relevant industry experience signed off by our Director of Career Services.
**No certification granted for Introduction to Coding
We have an advisory board that helps shape our curriculum. This allows us to alter the curriculum based on recommendations from employers who hire our graduates.

Associate Degree Option Available
Want to take your education to the next level? Take these six additional classes (4 weeks each) and earn your Associate of Applied Science Degree in IT Server Administration:

By completing an Associate Degree, you’ll demonstrate to employers that you’re ready for supervisory or management responsibilities based on the additional investment that you’ve made in your education. We’re also willing to accept transfer credits from other institutions on a case by case basis.
As a graduate of the IT Server Administrator program, you may start your career applying to work as a:

Get Real-World Experience – PC Repair Clinic
Get first-hand practice and job-preparation with our PC clinics. Asher College hosts a PC clinic every week onsite, where free repairs are offered to the community. This gives you a chance to see how you would deal with various situations while on the job. You’ll feel confident and capable when you’re able to successfully make PC repairs by yourself.
